CAPTRON donates the revenue of the HeliCommand RC helicopter flight event, taken place beginning of July in Olching, Germany, to a social facility, the “Sozialdienst Olching e.V.”.

The „Sozialdienst Olching e.V.“ is extremely happy about the noble amount of 1.200 Euro. The owners and CEOs of CAPTRON, Petra and Reinhard Bellm, donated the revenue from this years HeliCommand flight event to the Olchinger association.

"As a company as well as a private person, we are taking our social responsibility very serious. This is important to us not only inside our company, but also getting and being active beyond these walls. Especially helping and assisting children in Olching is our main focus.”, states Petra Bellm.

The RC helicopter flight event, presented in Olching in cooperation with Robbe Modelsports, following up the success of last year’s event, attracted around 3000 enthusiastic visitors. Focus of the event surely have been the impressive flight demos by some of Germany’s well-known pilots in 3D and scale flight. While looking for information at some of the numerous booths, others took a seat in the „Biergarten“ having a  meal and cold drinks, or tried their luck in the large raffle.
After another successful event for the second time in a row, the next year’s event is already projected.

Keen report by
SEBASTIAN ZAJONZ.

"HC3-X…treme stable!"

"Let's get ready to rumble – this simple statement emerged to a symbol of boxing. Michael Buffer, enunciator in the boxing ring, who shaped this battle call, disclosed a lot of two-fisted fights in the past by using this statement.
Two-fisted is also the fitting expression for the fight on the market for flybarless systems these days. CAPTRON/HeliCommand faces it by releasing a brand-new system called HC3-Xtreme.
I put this new system through its paces and do not want to withhold, that it is a stable and powerful opponent in this competition. Not against the user, but the competitors, who dared jumping into the ring with it."

Great Report of
Raimund Zimmermann.

"The new HeliCommand generation!"

Great Report from Klaus Ronge.

The “crashless” way to RC helicopter flying

"One of the barriers to enjoying RC helicopters is the lengthy learning
curve and the associated crashes. Perhaps you’ve tried a heli in the
past, became frustrated, and then put it away in the closet. The HeliCommand, distributed by MS Composit, is an autopilot that allows the beginner to learn how to hover and fly safely without the fear of accidents. The unit easily installs on most helicopters from 450-size electrics to large nitro and scale helis and also works with
most transmitters. It weighs only 33 grams and includes an internal high-quality, heading-hold gyro.

The HeliCommand is unique in that it uses an optical sensor and triple-axis gyros for stabilization. In the “position” mode, the autopilot uses the optical sensor and gyros to hold the heli horizontally and in a fixed geographical position. This is ideal for learning
how to hover and slow circuits. The unit will actively brake the heli if it is moving. Stick movements will override the autopilot and, if you let go of them, it will return to a stable hover. In the “horizontal” mode, the optical sensor is not used and the unit stabilizes the heli in the horizontal attitude."
