Dual independent instrument systems and sophisticated software for excellent reliability

1) Electronic triple-axis gyro with accurate attitude control and artificial horizon, completely independently of the visible horizon.

2) Stabilises flybarless rotor heads (2- and multi bladed)

3) Unique type of optical sensing process provides stable positional hold.

HeliCommand RIGID V.2

• „Autopilot“ function, stabilises all horizontal control movements: horizontal attitude (also in inverted flight), inclination and position
• RIGID mode stabilising flybarless rotor heads, 2- and multi-bladed
• Auxiliary „PILOT channel“ for adjusting stabilisation sensitivity (also for Rigid mode) and switching between Horizontal- and Position-mode
• Integral Heading-lock AVCS gyro and second auxiliary „AUX-channel“ for gyro gain and mode (normal / Heading-lock)
• Makes neutral trimming of aileron and elevator unnecessary
• Expanded mixer option: virtual swashplate rotation and sinus compensation for matching unequal push rod travels
• Electronical linearisation to compensate for mechanical irregularities (angular offset) when using H4 swashplate linkage
• Configurable without PC connection by simple procedure for all swashplate types with up to 3 head servos (with PC up to 4 servos)
• Failsafe: if radio link fails the system switches to Position-mode, coll.pitch to „hold“
• Suitable for combustion-, nitro-, electric- and turbine-powered helis
• Additional adjustment possibilities via PC software

Applications

• Ideal as training aid; when set to maximum stabilisation, the system enables you to learn flying a heli on your own
• Safety function for advanced and scale model pilots, reduced crash risk
• Ideal assistance for long-range flights and when manoeuvring under critical conditions

Technical features

• High level reliability thanks to two independent instrument systems and sophisticated software
• Reliable geographical positioning due to a unique sensing technology
• Electronic triple-axis gyro provides an artificial horizon
• The instruments can be controlled individually

Integral functions

• Integrated tail rotor gyro
• Automatic trim
• Swashplate mixer
• PILOT (stabilisation) + AUX (tail gyro) channels
• Failsafe

Technical specification:

Dimensions: 55 x 35 x 22.5 mm
Operating voltage: 4.8...6 V (4-5 NiCd/NiMH)
Current drain: 55 mA
Weight, incl. cables: 33 g

Flybarless rotor systems provide incredible advantages

• less mechanical parts on the head
• a more agile model
• up to 15% more power due to the missing flybar and paddles
• extremely precise and direct control
• a rotor system like in real life (especially for scale helis)

More integrated features

• Linearisation of servo ways, compensating angular irregularities with H4 linkages
• Virtual swashplate rotation
